Chapter 33: Fuxi and Nüwa

"Uh, the earliest mythological accounts in our country start with 'Pangu creating the heavens and the earth' 盘古开天辟地. I'd like to ask, is Pangu a myth, an ancient alien, or somehow related to prehistoric civilizations?" I inquired.

"It's purely a myth, unrelated to alien civilizations or the Earth's prehistoric civilizations. It's a fabricated part of ancestral culture.

Before the Qin Dynasty, when the nation was not yet unified, people in various states would ponder existential questions during their leisure time. Questions like: Where did I come from? How did heaven and earth come into being? Does the world have an end? These were ultimate questions for both ordinary people and the wise of that era—not the modern 'philosophical trilogy' you know today, which only emerged later.

The legend of 'Pangu creating the heavens and the earth' gradually appeared before the Qin Dynasty and became more defined during the late Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period. By then, it had solidified as a cornerstone of the national faith in a unified China."

Buweiro's explanation didn't surprise me. "I see. That aligns pretty closely with the historical analysis I've read before. After Pangu, the myths shift to the era of Fuxi and Nüwa. Were they fictional, or did they exist but were later mythologized?"

"They were real," Buweiro replied. "I've mentioned before—they came from the Sirius star system."

I was surprised. Based on my earlier research, I believed Fuxi and Nüwa were likely fictional, as there were no records of them before the Pre-Qin period, not even in the ancient times before the Xia Dynasty.

"As I mentioned earlier, after the Sirius civilization's planets were destroyed, the surviving elites from Sirius traveled into the Milky Way to rebuild. A small group came to our Solar system and settled here.

They have bases on every planet in the Solar system and in many satellites. The Sirius people who are responsible for the scientific research on the Earth have been using their genes to merge with the ancients for experiments. As a result, the life forms they bred are all in the form of the Sirius people, which is the half-human, half-snake appearance in your national mythology. The main reason is that the genes of the Sirius people are many times more active than those of the ancients, so there is no need to bother with the combination of male and female."

Around 5,000 years ago, on this land of ancient China, a woman was implanted with Sirius genes, leading to the birth of a boy. The legend describes this as her becoming pregnant after stepping on a footprint. The boy grew up to be exceptionally intelligent, far surpassing his peers in wisdom and creativity.

His mother initially named him 'Fu', based on ancient pronunciations—don't try to interpret it with modern words. He became the prototype for Fuxi.

As Fu grew up, his abilities became increasingly remarkable. He invented numerous primitive tools, eventually becoming the leader of his tribe and developing it into a unified and strong community. During his free time, Fu enjoyed studying the laws of nature. Seeing his extraordinary intelligence, the Sirius beings began to mentor him and later introduced a brilliant female serpentine being to accompany him.

She became another legendary ancestor of your people—Nüwa. Initially, her name was "Xi". Together, the two serpentine beings supported one another and made countless groundbreaking contributions to ancient Chinese civilization.  (see Figure 33.1)

I listened quietly, unconsciously absorbed in my thoughts again. As Buweiro continued:

"At that time, the advanced Daoist Civilization from the multiverse happened to visit the Earth, landing in ancient China. They, too, became interested in the Sirius experiments and your ancestors. Through exchanges, the two groups agreed to collaborate on the study of your ancestors. From that point onward, Daoist civilization began influencing your national culture—a legacy that persists to this day.

The theory of the Five Elements and the Eight Trigrams 五行八卦 deeply influenced Fu, which is why the legends about your ancestors appear somewhat inconsistent.

Modern researchers studying Fuxi have discovered that he is linked to both prehistoric civilizations and the origins of Daoist thought. However, it is only with the passage of time, coupled with the lack of text and written records at the time, that past history has become confusing.

Later, as your ancestors transitioned from primitive society to slave society, countless states and tribes emerged across China. Over time, the stories of Fu and Xi evolved continuously.

The name 'Fu' transformed from Fu Xi to Bao Xi, Pao Xi, Xi Huang, Mi Xi, Huang Xi, and Fu Xi.

The name 'Xi' evolved from Yin Xi to Nü Xi, Feng Xi, Youjiao, Xi Jiao, and Wa Huang.

During the reign of the first unifying emperor, Qin Shi Huang秦始皇, a policy known as the 'Burning of Books and Burying of Scholars'焚书坑儒was enacted. Although some historical accounts about this policy are inaccurate, it's true that many pre-Qin legends were deliberately erased, making the myths of Fu and Xi even more obscure, with only fragments surviving. After Qin Dynasty, historians began summarizing and categorizing these legends, gradually forming the belief in Fuxi and Nüwa as the ancestral founders we know today."

"So, the legendary ancestors of our country were real! but it turned out that various historical factors made them confusing. This is excellent—when I share this with others, everyone will feel reassured and inspired."

"By the way, you mentioned that many of Fuxi's historical achievements are linked to the Sirius civilization and Daoist culture, which I can understand. But what about the legend of 'Nüwa creating humans from clay'女娲造人and 'repairing the heavens'补天? Is that true?" After feeling reassured, I asked Buweiro again.

"Of course not," he replied. "By the time Fuxi and Nüwa appeared, ancient humans had already existed for a long time. However, because they carried both Sirius and human genes, their lifespans were much longer than regular humans, though not as long as Sirius beings. They lived for over 500 years each.

During their time as tribal leaders, they happened to live through the last major alien war on the Earth. At that time, the Sirians and other alien species didn't care about Earth's native species, including the experimental beings they had created, leaving them to face disasters and conflicts on their own.

The Interstellar Alliance was preoccupied with mediating conflicts among alien civilizations and didn't have much time to care about Earth species. This war caused widespread destruction and loss of life on the Earth, creating unimaginable chaos and danger.

Your ancestors were able to protect many people during this catastrophic period thanks to Nüwa's wisdom and quick thinking. She led ancient humans to hide in deep mountain caves, enduring harsh conditions until the war ended and it was safe to emerge. Nüwa's contributions to humanity were immense, and over time, her heroic deeds evolved into the myths of her creating humans from clay and repairing the heavens."

"A massive alien war over 5,000 years ago must have been a truly earth-shaking event," I muttered to myself, contemplating the scale of such a conflict.

"Indeed," Buweiro confirmed. "Fortunately, the Interstellar Alliance had learned from previous experiences and managed to minimize the damage from this war. Unlike the extinction-level disaster that wiped out the dinosaurs, this time the destruction was somewhat contained. Even so, the war left the Earth devastated.

The last great war was in ancient China, it was Fuxi and Nüwa who turned the tide and saved your ancestors, which gradually evolved into the legend of China.

In ancient India, there is a sacred text called the 'Mahabharata'. Its earliest myths and legends were based on oral accounts of this last great war. However, as time passed, the stories became a blend of truth and fiction.

The Sirius-Anunnaki war I mentioned earlier, which resulted in the destruction of the Nibiru planet in our Solar system and the devastation of all Sirius's planets and moons, also occurred during this period. The Sirius civilization suffered heavy losses, and the Anunnaki took away the Sumerians from the Earth as a result.

There were also neutral alien species during that time who refrained from participating in the war, choosing instead to observe quietly. They followed the principle of 'if others don't harm us, we won't harm them' while protecting their bases and industries on the Earth.

For example, the alien civilization that protected the earliest ancient Egyptian civilization had their main base inside the Sun. This is why the ancient Egyptians were among the first to worship the Sun-god. That civilization remained mostly neutral during the final war and suffered minimal impact."  (See Figure 33.2)

Buweiro shared another fascinating tale from the history of alien civilizations.

"Uh, didn't you say earlier that the ancestors of your Sanziyao civilization helped establish the super civilization—known as the 'Star Federation Union'—in the galactic center by uniting many advanced civilizations? If the Earth faces major crises, they're supposed to intervene. So why didn't you request the super civilization's protection during the previous conflicts, including the Earth's last great alien war?" I suddenly thought of this question.

"If a civilization from another galaxy comes to cause trouble in the Milky Way, the super civilization would definitely take action immediately—for two reasons: to safeguard the billions of planets in the Milky Way and to prevent the other side from stealing advanced technologies. There's always some benefit involved.

However, for smaller internal conflicts within the Milky Way, as long as things don't get too out of hand, the super civilizations at the galactic center generally don't intervene. After all, while the Milky Way isn't one of the largest galaxies, it still has billions of planets and moons. Trying to manage everything would be quite a hassle."

Buweiro paused for a moment before continuing:

"Another reason is that over billions of years of development, the Milky Way has built a complex web of relationships. Earth isn't the only planet with ties to ancient ancestors and super civilizations. Many star systems and constellations, hosting countless intelligent life forms, also have intricate personal and diplomatic connections to the super civilizations.

It's a vast, chaotic network—kind of like the human concept of 'connections'. Because of these factors, the super civilizations tend to turn a blind eye to most conflicts within the Milky Way as long as they don't escalate too much."

"Oh, I see," I nodded, signaling my understanding. The concept reminded me of how human society often operates, with its relentless competition and over-reliance on personal networks. It didn't need much explanation for me to grasp the similarities.
